First Aid at Work Re-qualification

Duration: 2 days - 12 hours

Suitability:
​This course is designed for anyone who needs to refresh and re-qualify to maintain their certification as First Aider in the Workplace.

  • Scene safety
  • Assessing an incident
  • Protection and barrier use
  • Managing an unresponsive casualty
  • Recovery position
  • Cardio pulmonary resuscitation adults, children and infants
  • Safe use of an AED 
  • Recognising and assisting a casualty who is choking
  • Serious bleeding management
  • Recognition and treatment of shock
  • Managing a casualty with a minor injury
  • Management of spinal injury
  • Management of injuries to bones, muscles and joints
  • Management of chest injuries, burns, scalds and eye injuries
  • Management of anaphylactic shock
  • Dealing with sudden poisoning
  • Managing a casualty for a range of major illnesses
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
 
Course Information:
  • Our First Aid at Work courses are certificated through the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and meet all the requirements of the HSE.
  • Candidates are required to show competence in basic life support, care of an unconscious casualty and treatment of a wound or injury to a conscious casualty.
  • Qualification valid for 3 years - annual refresher strongly recommended by the HSE.
